China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) for undergraduate international student admissions, aims to establish a unified, scientific, and authoritative evaluation standard. It focuses on assessing students' academic proficiency and learning capabilities, with a core emphasis on Professional Chinese and knowledge of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, thereby laying a foundation for subsequent specialized studies.
Starting from 2026, all students applying for undergraduate programs must take the CSCA exam and submit their CSCA transcripts as part of their application.
	
 
The CSCA employs a classification model combining compulsory and optional subjects, offering a total of five subjects categorized into two major groups: Professional Chinese and Foundation Subjects. Detailed information is provided in the table below.

Test Dates
The global inaugural CSCA test will be launched on December 21, 2025. Starting from 2026, the exam will be administered five times a year, scheduled for January, March, April, June, and December.
Please register and take the CSCA exam in a timely manner. Submission of CSCA scores will not be accepted after the registration deadline on June 30, 2026.
Test Format
CSCA will primarily be conducted as an online test taken at home. In some countries, offline test centers will be available (either computer-based or paper-based).
Test Fees
The fee for a one subject is 450 RMB, while the fee for two or more subjects is 700 RMB. Payment methods include Alipay, WeChat Pay, UnionPay, VISA, and MasterCard.
Registration Period
The global inaugural CSCA test will open for registration in November 2025. Specific registration periods for other exam sessions will be announced on the official CSCA website (www.csca.cn).
Registration Method
Online registration must be completed through the official CSCA website (www.csca.cn). The platform supports both Chinese and English.
Score Release
Each subject of the CSCA is graded on a 100-point scale.
The score release time will vary depending on the test format: scores for online exams and offline computer-based tests will be released within 7 working days after the exam, while scores for paper-based tests will be released within 14 working days.
